Cal State San Bernardino’s Sedrick Altman has been named this season’s first CCAA Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, for the opening week ending, Nov. 12.

Altman led the Coyotes to a 2-0 start with two blow out wins after averaging 20 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. The senior guard from Rialto shot 61 percent from the field, hitting on 17 of 28 shots. He was also 5 for 11 from the 3-point arch (.455).

In CSUSB’s impressive 93-71 win over Western Oregon, Altman nearly had a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds. He shot 8-for-13 with two triples with an assist, a steal and a blocked shot. The following night, Altman scored 22 points (9-for-15) with three treys and four rebounds to lead the Coyotes to a 73-48 rout over Central Washington.

Cal State San Bernardino will host Biola this Thursday at Coussoulis Arena.
