Mika Sayfurahman of Cal State East Bay has been named Pixellot/CCAA Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for, Oct. 23-29. 

Sayfurahman scored two goals on the weekend, one against Cal Poly Pomona on Friday and another against Cal State San Bernardino on Sunday. She scored the only two goals of the week for Cal State East Bay.

On Friday, she had an unassisted goal in the 40th minute to tie up the game 1-1 going into halftime against Cal Poly Pomona. Sayfurahman’s second goal was off of a penalty kick in the 44th minute of the match against San Bernardino on Sunday to put the Pioneers up 1-0. Cal State East Bay ended up losing both games by just one goal. 

Sayfurahman now has a team-high seven goals and 26 shots. She currently ranks in the top five in the CCAA for goals, top 10 for shots on goal, and top five for points earned.

This is Sayfurahman’s second career CCAA Player of the Week award. She is the first person to win twice in one season since 2022.

Cal State East Bay (4-5-1) closes out the regular season against Cal State San Marcos on Thursday at 2:00 p.m.
