CSUSB's Trinity Sheridan collects second Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week award Oct 24, 2023 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> With 7.2 kills per set, Cal State San Bernardino’s Trinity Sheridan has been selected as the CCAA Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 16-22. The 5-11 freshman from Crystal Lake, Ill., had 43 kills in two wins for the Yotes. She hit an incredible .459 on 73 swings over the six sets. Sheridan added 21 digs, six blocks and an ace. She opened the weekend with 21 kills on a .500 hitting percentage against Chico State. The opposite-side hitter backed it up the next night with a double-double against Stanislaus State as she registered 22 kills and 14 digs, to go along with four blocks and an ace. Sheridan now ranks sixth in the conference with 3.55 kills/set and 3.99 points/set. Her .331 hitting percentage is fifth in the CCAA, and leads all non-middle blockers. The victories helped No. 8 Cal State San Bernardino keep pace with No. 23 Cal State LA as the Yotes remain one game back in the CCAA standings with a 10-2 record (17-3 overall). The teams will meet on Saturday, Oct. 28, in San Bernardino, two days after hosting Cal State Dominguez Hills on Thursday, Oct. 26.
