Cal Poly Pomona’s Jakob Singh is this week’s Pixellot/CCAA Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, for the week of Sept. 25-Oct. 1.

Singh scored two goals in the Broncos’ 3-1 win over Sonoma State on Sunday as Cal Poly Pomona went 2-0 on the road to begin the conference season. In just 47 minutes of play off the bench, Singh netted goals during a five-minute span in the first half. The sophomore forward from Los Alamitos, entered the match in the 29th minute and scored in the 35th and 40th minute marks for an early 2-0 CPP lead.

The 13th ranked Broncos improved to 6-0-2 and 2-0-0 to start the season. Cal Poly Pomona has allowed just one goal in its last five matches.

Cal Poly Pomona returns home to host Chico State (Friday) and Stanislaus State (Sunday).
