CSUSB's Jenna Patton repeats as CCAA Offensive Player of the Week

For the second consecutive week, Cal State San Bernardino’s Jenna Patton has been voted the CCAA Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week. (Oct. 9-15)

Patton has put together two consecutive weeks without a hitting error, as she has not had a miss-swing since September. The senior middle blocker posted a .800 hitting percentage in a pair of wins over San Francisco State. Patton had 24 kills on just 30 attempts. She also had 14 blocks, seven digs, and a service ace. 

In Saturday’s match at San Francisco, Patton had 16 kills on 18 swings for a .889 hitting percentage. She averaged 4.75 points and 1.75 blocks per set. On Friday, the Rialto native posted a season-best eight blocks to go along with her eight kills (12 attempts). 

Patton’s outstanding run has made her the NCAA Div. II leader in hitting percentage (.478). Only 14 student-athletes in the country boast a hitting percentage of .400 or better. Click here to see the NCAA leaders.

Patton joins Stanislaus State’s Gabby Rawson and Cal Poly Pomona’s Samantha Campion as the only student-athletes to earn back-to-back CCAA volleyball weekly honors in 2023. Click here for the complete list of past CCAA Volleyball Players of the Week.

Cal State San Bernardino is second in the CCAA standings at 8-2 (15-3 overall). They will go on the road this week to face Chico State (Oct. 20) and Stanislaus State (Oct. 21).
