No error weekend leads Yotes' Jenna Patton to CCAA Offensive Player of the Week

Cal State San Bernardino’s Jenna Patton hit .571 over a two-match stretch to earn CCAA Offensive Player of the Week honors for the week of Oct. 2-8. 

Patton had 16 kills and no errors on 28 swings to help lead the Yotes to a pair of conference wins. She added six digs, eight blocks, and an ace.

The senior middle blocker opened the week by putting down six kills in 10 swings against Cal State San Marcos. Then, in a top-15 matchup against No. 13 Cal Poly Pomona, Patton hit .556 with 10 kills and no errors in 18 attempts. She also had five digs, four blocks, and two assists. 

The Rialto native now ranks ninth in NCAA Div. II with a .438 hitting percentage. She is nearly 70 percentage points above second place. Click here to see the CCAA leaders

Cal State San Bernardino is tied with San Francisco State and Cal Poly Pomona for second place in the CCAA at 6-2. The Yotes will face San Francisco State twice this week. They will first meet in San Bernardino on Thursday before playing again in San Francisco on Saturday.
