Cal State East Bay’s Mia Jordan voted CCAA Defensive Player of the Week Oct 10, 2023 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> Cal State East Bay’s Mia Jordan has been voted the CCAA Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 2-8. Jordan’s work at the net helped the Pioneers earn two conference victories and extend their winning streak to four matches. The junior middle posted five blocks, including a solo block each night. Against Stanislaus, Jordan had two blocks to go along with nine kills. She then added three more blocks against Chico State. In the match, she registered a .714 hitting percentage with 10 kills and moved into East Bay’s all-time top 10 in blocks. The Portland native ranks third in the CCAA in hitting percentage (.323) and 14th in total blocks. Click here to see the CCAA leaders. This is the first career CCAA Defensive Player of the Week award for Jordan, and it is the first for Cal State East Bay since Taylor Miche on the final week of 2022. The teams will play on Thursday and Saturday.
