Greg Milton III was a sharp-shooter against one of the best teams as the Cal State San Marcos guard was selected as CCAA Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, for the week of Jan. 23-29.

Milton scorched No. 12 Cal State San Bernardino for 30 points, leading the Cougars to an 98-85 upset win over the Yotes on Saturday as CSUSM completed a weekend sweep. CSUSM also blew-out Cal Poly Pomona, 70-44, on Thursday.

The senior guard from Sacramento shot 67 percent (12 for 18) to score 30 points, the most since Milton put-up 39 in the season opener on Nov. 11 at Saint Martin’s. He also pulled nine rebounds with four assists and two steals in 36 minutes of play against CSUSB. In the win over Cal Poly Pomona, Milton had 10 points with five rebounds and five assists.

For the week, Milton averaged 20 points, seven rebounds, 4.5 assists and a steal per game.

Milton is third in the conference in scoring at 18.9 points per game. He leads the CCAA in three-point field goal percentage at .446 and is fifth in field goal percentage at .525.

Cal State San Marcos will hit the road at Cal State Monterey Bay Thursday and San Francisco State on Saturday.
