Josh Santillan of Stanislaus State claimed the CCAA Offensive Player of the Week honor for the week of Sept. 19-26.

Santillan scored three goals and assisted on another to help the Warriors go 2-1-0 on the week, including earning a win at Cal State San Bernardino in their conference opener.

The Newark, Calif., native opened the week by posting a goal on a penalty kick in the win over UC Santa Cruz. It was the Warriors' fifth consecutive result and third win in that stretch.

He then registered two goals and an assist in the CCAA-opening win over CSUSB. The Yotes entered the match listed among those teams receiving votes in the national poll after allowing just two goals in their first six matches. Santillan scored two goals in the first 14 minutes and assisted on another in the second half to lead his team to a 3-0 win.

The junior forward now ranks 11th in NCAA Division II with seven goals. He is also 15th in total points (16) and 18th in game-winning goals (2).

Santillan is the first Stanislaus State men’s soccer student-athlete to earn a CCAA Athlete of the Week honor since Josh Jacobs in 2015.

Stanislaus State (4-2-3, 1-1-0 CCAA) will be at home this week to host San Francisco State on Friday (Sept. 30) and Sonoma State on Sunday (Oct. 2).
