Cal State San Marcos’ Breann Horn is the top CCAA golfer for the fourth time this season as she earns this week’s Women’s Golfer of the Week award.
Horn, who was also last week’s winner, captured her fourth honor after finishing fourth at the DBU Patriot Invitational at Pebble Peach on Tuesday. The junior from Lakeside shot a four-over 217 in a rare three-round regular season tournament.
Cal State San Marcos, ranked 13th in the latest WGCA poll, was third with a 892 total behind No 2 Dallas Baptist and No. 3 Limestone.
Horn’s four-over tally was five back of medalist Jordan Karrh of DBU who shot an one-under 212. DBU’s Faith DeLaGarza was second (213) and Limestone’s Stina Wikstrom shot two-over for third.
Horn was the Women’s Golfer of the Week in the fall after sharing the RJGA Shootout tournament title. She garnered the award for the week of Feb. 9-15 after winning the Visit Stockton Invitational. Last week she picked up the top golfer honor with a runner-up finish at the Biola Eagle Invitational.
The Cougars have concluded their regular season schedule and will next play at the CCAA Championships, April 11-13, at Yocha Dehe Golf Club in Brooks, Calif.
