For the third time during the 2021-22 season, Cal State San Marcos’ Breann Horn has been named the CCAA Women’s Golfer of the Week.

Horn was the top CCAA golfer at the Biola Eagles Invitational at The Grand Golf Club in San Diego last week. She shot a 3-over, 147 to finish tied for second at the 36-hole tournament played on Thursday and Friday.

The junior from Lakeside led CSUSM to its fourth team tournament victory this season. It was also the Cougars’ second win in the same week after winning the CSUSM Fujikura Invitational last Tuesday.

Horn carded a 74 in the first round before finishing with a 73 in round two. She tied Colorado Mesa’s Elly Waters and was four back of medalist Raquel Prado of Point Loma.

CSUSM won the team title with a 601 tally, nine strokes better than Point Loma. Host Biola was third at 624.

Horn was the Women’s Golfer of the Week in the fall after sharing the RJGA Shootout tournament title. More recently, she garnered the award, for the week of Feb. 9-15, after winning the Visit Stockton Invitational.

The Cougars will play in The Patriot Invitational, hosted by Dallas Baptist, in Pebble Beach, March 21-22.
