ROHNERT PARK, Calif. - Zane Baumgardt and Nick Walker scored a pair of goals for the Toros in a five-minute stretch late in the first half to lift the No. 1 seed Cal State Dominguez Hills to a 2-0 win over No. 5 Chico State in the semifinals of the 2022 CCAA Men's Soccer Tournament.

Baumgardt broke the 0-0 tie when he converted a pass from Martin Velazquez in the 33rd minute for his third goal of the season. Nick Walker extended the lead to 2-0 in the 37th minute with his fourth goal off an assist from Chungwan Lee.

Over the remaining 53 minutes, the Toros' defense dominated. They did not allow the Wildcats to take a shot as Dominguez Hills' pair of goalies Frank Aguilar and Sebastian Ascencio did not have to make a save all match. Chico's Luis Albarran had three saves as the Toros outshot the Wildcats 14-2.

Cal State Dominguez Hills will advance to the finals of the CCAA Men's Soccer Tournament for the first time since 2010. CSUDH will face defending national champions Cal State LA in the finals on Sunday, Nov. 6.
