Destiny Jackson, who led CSUSB to two victories, has been named the CCAA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, for the week of Nov. 14-20.

Jackson averaged 13 points and six rebounds a game in the Yotes’ wins over Lincoln and Biola at home in The Den. In all, she scored 26 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, dished two assists with a steal and blocked two shots to lead CSUSB.

The junior guard from Hayward shot 45 percent from the field (10 for 22) and converted on six of seven free throw chances.

Against Lincoln, Jackson scored 11 points with two rebounds in 15 minutes of play on Tuesday. In Saturday’s game against Biola, she made 5 of 12 shots for 15 points and 10 rebounds for her third career double-double.

After two weekends, Jackson currently leads the CCAA in field goals made (23) and points (62).

The Yotes will host Antelope Valley College on Tuesday before opening CCAA play at Cal Poly Pomona on Saturday.
