For a conference-record fourth time this season, Cal State Dominguez Hills’ Sulaiman Bah has been voted the CCAA/Pixellot Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. (Oct. 17-23)

The sophomore midfielder played all 90 minutes as the Toros earned a point on the road with a 1-1 tie against Chico State.

On Sunday against Cal Poly Humboldt, Bah was part of all three goals as CSUDH came from behind to earn a victory and move back into a tie for first place in the CCAA standings. His first goal tied the match at 1-1 in the 26th minute, and four minutes later, he assisted on Nick Walker’s goal to put the Toros up 2-1. After the Jacks tied the match in the second half, Bah was called on to take a penalty kick with less than four minutes remaining. He deposited the shot in the back of the net for his NCAA Division II-leading sixth game-winning goal of the season.

The Bo, Sierra Leone native, leads the CCAA and is ranked among the national leaders in numerous categories. His 15 goals are seven more than the next CCAA student-athlete, and he ranks fourth in NCAA Division II. Bah is also second in the country with 40 points and fourth with 10 assists.

Bah previously tied Cal Poly Pomona’s Sergi Monso as the only CCAA men’s soccer student-athletes to earn weekly honors three times in a season. His fourth weekly award gave Bah sole possession of the CCAA record.

Cal State Dominguez Hills will close its regular season at Cal State Monterey Bay on Thursday, Oct. 27, at 2 p.m. The Toros need a win to secure a share of the 2022 CCAA regular season title.
