Stanislaus State’s Alexia Estrada collected CCAA/Pixellot Defensive Player of the Week honors for the week of Oct. 10-16.

Estrada posted a 0.50 goals against average on the Warriors' 2-0 weekend road trip. She opened the weekend with a six-save performance in a 3-1 win against Cal State Dominguez Hills. The junior goalkeeper followed up with a 1-0 shutout of Cal State Monterey Bay where she made 10 saves. It was her third double-digit save performance of the season.

The South San Francisco native now leads the CCAA with 6.62 saves per game, which is nearly two more than the second-place person on the list. Estrada is also second in save percentage (.869) and is tied for fifth with five shutouts.

Estrada is the first Stanislaus State student-athlete to earn a CCAA women’s soccer weekly award this season and the first since Sadie Ortiz in 2019. Click here to see the complete list of CCAA weekly award winners
