In Stanislaus State’s final race prior to the CCAA Championships, Kaela Dishion led the Warriors at the Bronco Invitational, earning her third Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week this season.
Dishion finished sixth overall and was the top Division II runner in the 6K race with a career best time of 20:00.1. The senior from Murphys is the first woman runner to win three Runner of the Week awards since Natalie Rodriguez from Cal State San Marcos in 2016.
The senior paced the Stanislaus women's cross-country team to eighth place among 28 teams in the Bronco Invitational, hosted by Santa Clara.
Dishion previously won the Runner of the Week award on Sept. 5 and Sept. 26. She was also the USTFCCCA National Runner of the Week on Sept. 12.
Stan State will return to the course in three weeks when the Warriors travel to compete in the CCAA Championships in Carme, where the Warriors will look to defend their conference title.
