Toros' Bah makes history with back-to-back CCAA/Pixellot Offensive Player of the Week awards

Cal State Dominguez Hills’ Sulaiman Bah matched the conference record by becoming the second CCAA men’s soccer student-athlete to earn three weekly awards in one season after being selected as the CCAA/Pixellot Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. (Oct. 3-9)

Bah recorded a goal, and three assists as the No. 2 ranked Toros (11-0-2, 5-0-1 CCAA) picked up a pair of wins. The sophomore midfielder assisted on both goals in Thursday's 2-1 win over Sonoma State inside the Dignity Health Sports Park. On Sunday at San Francisco State, he assisted on the eventual match-winning goal while scoring the match's third goal for his 12th of the season. 

The victories extended CSUDH’s lead in the CCAA standings to four points over second-place Cal Poly Pomona (12 points) and five points over third-place Chico State. 

Bah has been among the national leaders all season. He ranks second in NCAA Division II with 2.54 points per game and leads the nation with five game-winning goals. He is third in assists (9) and goals (12).

This is the third CCAA/Pixellot Offensive Player of the Week award for Bah and his second in as many weeks. The Sierra Leone native is the fifth overall Toro to earn a CCAA weekly honor. Bah is the first CCAA student-athlete since 2017, and just the second ever, to earn CCAA Player of the Week honors in consecutive weeks. Click here to see the complete list of CCAA weekly honors.
