With two 20-point games, Humboldt State’s Julia Iman was selected as CCAA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, for the week of Nov. 29-Dec. 5.
Iman scored 21 points with seven rebounds in Thursday’s win over San Francisco State. Then, she notched a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds in Saturday’s victory over Cal State Monterey Bay.
Iman led the HSU Lumberjacks to three straight wins and a 2-0 start in conference play.
Versus SF State, Iman was 10 for 20 shooting with two block shots, four steals and two assists to go with seven rebounds. The junior guard from Canyon Lake then shot 11 of 19 on Saturday with two three-pointers and turned in her second double-double of the season with 11 boards. She also added six assists, a blocked shot, and two steals for a solid all-around game.
Iman is 10th in the CCAA in scoring average (14.2) and is fourth in rebounding (9.0).
Humboldt State travels to Stanislaus State for a single-game trip on Saturday.
