Double-doubles power Toro's Jordan to Player of the Week honors

Asia Jordan posted back-to-back double-doubles to lead Cal State Dominguez Hills to two wins and claim CCAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors for the week of Dec. 13-20.
 
The Toros' freshman forward powered the team to two crucial conference victories, including a 78-73 double-overtime win against Cal Poly Pomona. CSUDH will enter the break with a three-game winning streak. 
 
Jordan began the week by putting up 18 points and grabbing 13 rebounds against Cal State San Bernardino. She also dished out three assists and had a block and a steal in the 69-61 win. 
 
Against Cal Poly Pomona, Jordan grabbed 17 rebounds, with 11 of those coming on the offensive glass. She also registered 14 points and five steals. 
 
Over the weekend, she averaged 16.0 points, 15.0 rebounds, and 3.0 steals. Jordan is now third in the CCAA with 9.2 rebounds per game. 
 
This is the first player of the week honor for the Toros this basketball season. 
 
Cal State Dominguez Hills will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 1, against Cal State East Bay. The game will tip off at 1 p.m.
