Final Standings
The battle for every seed in the CCAA Women's Soccer Championship came down to the final day of the season, and when the dust settled, Sonoma State emerged as the No. 1 seed and the 2021 regular season champion.
Sonoma State (13-4-0, 8-3-0 CCAA) defeated San Francisco State in the season finale to win its second straight CCAA regular season title to claim the No. 1 seed in the upcoming 2021 CCAA Women's Soccer Championships. The Seawolves opened the year by winning 10 of its first 11 matches, including its first five in conference play. Sonoma State will be making its ninth consecutive appearance in the CCAA Tournament. It is the third time the Seawolves have been the No. 1 seed since seeding began.
Chico State (10-2-5, 6-1-4 CCAA) was in fourth place heading into the final match of the season, but with a victory over Humboldt State and a pair of losses in front of them, the Wildcats moved up two spots in the standings to capture the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye. Chico closed out the season on an eight-match unbeaten streak, and it still has just two losses on the year. The Wildcats return to the tournament after a one-year absence in 2019.
Cal State East Bay (9-5-3, 6-3-2 CCAA) earned the No. 3 seed in the tournament as a result of a tiebreaker over SFSU. The Gators picked up their game when CCAA play came around, earning six of their eight victories. They will host in the opening round. San Francisco State last appeared in the tournament in 2018.
Cal State LA (6-9-2, 6-4-1 CCAA) earned a double overtime win over Cal Poly Pomona in the season finale to clinch the No. 5 seed in the CCAA Tournament and end the Broncos' season. This season, all six of the Golden Eagles' wins have come in their last eight matches as they made a late run in the standings. Cal State LA will be making its eighth consecutive appearance in the CCAA Tournament.
