HSU's Granados earn her second Runner of the Week award

For the second time this season, Humboldt State’s Rosa Granados has earned the CCAA Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week award, for the week of Sept. 27-Oct. 3.

Granados posted her second win in as many races after capturing the title at the 46th Annual Charles Bowles Invitational at Bush's Pasture Park in Salem, Ore.

The junior from Arroyo Grande won the Charles Bowles Invite with her time of 18:11.3 in the 5K race.  She finished almost seven seconds ahead of the University of Portland's Elle Eriksen who finished in second with a time of 18:18.1.  

Granados paced the Lumberjacks to a sixth-place team finish out of 13 teams. Portland won the team competition with two runners in the top three. 

Granados was the CCAA Runner of the Week, for Sept. 13-19, when she won HSU’s Jim Hunt Invitational in Arcata.

The Lumberjacks travel to Romeoville, Ill. next week to compete in the Lewis Conference Crossover.
