Cal Poly Pomona goalkeeper Sydney Williams has been selected as the CCAA Women’s Soccer Player of the Week, for the week of Oct. 11-17.
Williams posted two more shutouts in goal as the Broncos blanked Cal State San Bernardino and Cal State San Marcos. Williams and Cal Poly Pomona have recorded four consecutive shutouts.
The senior from Inglewood faced 11 shots with five saves in 180 minutes of play. She had a save against CSUSB and four versus CSUSM.
Williams has not allowed a goal in the last 400 minutes over the span of the last four matches.
Williams now has six shutouts and a 0.66 Goals-Against-Average in 2021.
Cal Poly Pomona hopes to continue its unbeaten streak (2-0-2 in the last four contests) with matches at Cal State Monterey Bay on Thursday and at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sunday.
