After turning in a fourth-place finish to open the 2020 spring slate, Sonoma State senior Devin Gregg has been named CCAA Golfer of the Week for Jan. 29-Feb. 4.

This is the third career weekly honor for the San Anselmo native, and the second of the 2019-20 campaign. He also shared acclaim in the first week of fall competition with teammate Griffin Pace.

Gregg fired rounds of 75-72-71—218 (+2) to take fourth at the CSUSM Fujikura Invitational at Shadowridge Country Club in Vista, jumping seven spots on the leaderboard during the final round of play. With San Diego State golfers taking the top two places, he was the second NCAA Division II finisher, two strokes back from Trevor Norby of Oklahoma Christian.

Gregg rolled in 12 birdies during the event and tied for the lowest Par 3 scoring average, at 2.92 strokes per hole. As a team, the Seawolves eighth with conference foe UC San Diego besting the field of 16 teams.

Next, Sonoma State competes at the Bay Area Invitational at The Club at Ruby Hill in Pleasanton on Feb. 22-23, joining fellow CCAA teams Cal State East Bay, Chico State and Cal State Monterey Bay.
