Crenshaw Hits Her Way to CCAA Player of the Week Sep 24, 2019 After a powerfully efficient performance on the court, Cal State LA’s Daisy Crenshaw has earned CCAA Volleyball Player of the Week for Sept. 16-22. Crenshaw, a junior playing for her hometown team, enjoyed a historic night for the Golden Eagles while turning back opponent Cal State Dominguez Hills in their conference opener. The middle blocker recorded the second-highest hitting percentage in program history in a four-set win over the previously unbeaten Toros. She pounded 13 kills on 17 attack attempts with no errors for a .765 percentage. Her hitting percentage is good for the fifth-best single match performance in the nation (min. 15-19 attempts), thus far. Crenshaw also added three blocks to the stat sheet to close with 14.5 points as Cal State LA rebounded from a slow start in the first set to win the next three in succession to close the match. Next, Crenshaw and the Golden Eagles travel to Cal State Monterey Bay for a Saturday evening matchup in Seaside.
