Tull Races to Second Weekly Award of 2019 Sep 24, 2019 Yet again leading his team to a solid performance with a runner-up individual finish, Humboldt State’s Daniel Tull has been named CCAA Runner of the Week for Sept. 16-22. For Tull, a senior from Atascadero, this is his second CCAA weekly honor in as many races in the 2019 season. Shaving nearly a minute off his season-opening 8K, Tull crossed the line in 24:52.2 at the Sundowner Invitational at Ash Creek Preserve, hosted by Western Oregon at the site of the 2019 NCAA Cross Country West Regionals. Tull led Humboldt State to fourth in the team standings as all five scorers finished in the top quarter of the 104 men to cross the finish line. The Jacks tallied 91 points on the day, finishing behind No. 19 Biola, Division I Portland, and Simon Fraser in the event. Idle this weekend, the Lumberjacks return to the course on Oct. 5 with back-to-back trips to the Beaver State, slated to compete at the Willamette Invitational in Salem, Ore.
