Team and Individual Titles Net Tull CCAA Runner of the Week Sep 10, 2019 After leading his team to the title while claiming one of his own, Humboldt State’s Daniel Tull has been tapped as 2019’s first CCAA Runner of the Week. Tull, a senior from Atascadero, ran a 25:59.52 to capture the 8,000-meter crown at the Humboldt Invitational to lead the Lumberjacks to a first place team finish. He won the race by 40 seconds while the team won by 31 points in a preview of the 2019 CCAA Cross Country Championships course at Baywood Golf & Country Club. "Daniel looked awesome," noted head coach Jamey Harris after the Friday night win. “I think he's one of the top runners in the conference. He's really put in the work and it's paying off.” The Runner of the Week award is the first in Tull’s career, and he is the first Humboldt State runner to earn acclaim since October 10, 2010 (Eric Malain). Humboldt State will return to the cross country course on Sept. 20 in Monmouth, Ore., when the Jacks participate in the Sundowner Invitational on the campus of Western Oregon University at Ash Creek Preserve. Another posteason preview race, this is the same course that will host the NCAA West Regionals in November. Also nominated: Kibrom Elias, Cal State San Marcos Andrew Vazquez, Stanislaus State
