In record-breaking fashion to cap her first collegiate regular-season, Cal Poly Pomona freshman Ana Tova has been selected as the CCAA Field Athlete of the Week for April 22-28.

Hailing from Upland, Tovi broke a 31-year-old school record in the discus, while earning a new personal best throw of 50.54 meters at the adidas/Steve Scott Invitational in Irvine. Taking first among all Division II athletes in the competition, Tovi’s throw is second in the CCAA this season and 10th in the country heading into the postseason.

Next, all the schools from across the CCAA will converge on Triton Track & Field Stadium in La Jolla for the 2019 CCAA Championships May 2-4.
