Cal State San Marcos sophomore Claire Hogle has claimed the final CCAA Golfer of the Week award for the 2018-19 season, leading into CCAA Championships week.

Hailing from San Diego, Hogle helped the Cougars to a share of the team title at the West Texas A&M Desert Invitational after three Cal State San Marcos golfers landed in the top 10. Hogle’s 72-73—145 led the way and landed her in second place overall. Hogle is now the fifth Cal State San Marcos woman to earn Golfer of the Week this season.

In the team standings, the fifth-ranked Cougars were tied at the top with No. 12 Grand Valley State compiling a 21-over, 597 over the two rounds of play from The Lodge at Ventana Canyon in Tucson, Ariz.

Next, the CCAA’s six women’s golf squads will converge on Morgan Run Club and Resort in Rancho Santa Fe for the 2018-19 CCAA Women’s Golf Championships. Hosted by Cal State San Marcos, the three-day tournament will feature 54 holes of golf culminating in crowning team and individual CCAA champions. Championships Central >>>
