Chico State's Kelley Sullivan won a four-hole playoff for medalist honors to open up the spring slate and earn CCAA Golfer of the Week for Jan. 30-Feb. 5. The third conference weekly award for Sullivan this season, the senior has been tapped for distinction six times in his collegiate career.

Sullivan shot a scorching second-round 67 at the rain-shortened CSUSM Fujikura Invitational to force a playoff with fellow CCAA golfer Devin Gregg of Sonoma State for the individual title. The duo needed four holes to determine the champion after both golfers parred their replays at No. 18, 1 and 9. Sullivan was able to roll in for birdie on the 10th to secure medalist honors and net his third individual collegiate title. The Sammamish, Wash., native has now played into the Top 20 in all five events of the 2018-19 season with three Top 3 finishes to his name.

The Wildcats, ranked eighth in the latest Golfstat rankings from Nov. 20, took home second as a team, one stroke behind No. 9 Oklahoma Christian.

With a month before its next event, Chico State returns to the course March 4-5 at the UCSD SoCal Intercollegiate.
