San Francisco State's Ugbaja Scores CCAA Player of the Week Feb 5, 2019 After leading San Francisco State to a pair of home victories, Jiday Ugbaja has earned CCAA Player of the Week for Jan. 28-Feb. 3, his first career conference weekly honor. The graduate transfer and San Francisco native started off the homestand with a game-high 20 points in a two-point win over Cal State LA Thursday. He scored six of the Gators' last nine points, including sinking the game-winning free throws. Then, Ugbaja was one of five Gators to score in double digits in Saturday's win over the Toros to score 13 to go along with five rebound and four steals in the 86-64 decision against Cal State Dominguez Hills. For the week, Ugbaja averaged 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.0 steal per game.
