Karumbaya Claims CCAA Golfer of the Week

Cal State East Bay sophomore Drishti Karumbaya has earned her first career CCAA Golfer of the Week award, for Oct. 1-8.
Hailing from Mysore, India, Karumbaya carded a two-day tally of 10-over 154 at the Golfweek Division II Fall Preview to lead the Pioneers’ efforts. She recorded 22 pars and three birdies at Las Colinas in Howie in the Hills, Fla., landing in a four-way tie for 23rd on the individual leaderboard as the top finisher from the CCAA.Â
Cal State East Bay will return to the course at the Sonoma State Fall Invitational at Foxtail Golf Club in Rohnert Park Oct. 13-15.
