Picariello Earns Weekly Conference Honors

After a runner-up individual finish to pace Sonoma State to team victory, Seawolf Cristina Picariello has earned CCAA Golfer of the Week for Oct. 8-15.
The senior from San Jose fired a two-day total of 3-over 147 to finish one stroke behind individual medalist Alli Kim of Point Loma. Picariello’s efforts led the Seawolves to an eight-stroke victory in their own Sonoma State Fall Invitational at Foxtail GC as all five Sonoma State scorers finished in the top 20 individually.
An All-CCAA First Team selection a year ago, this is Picariello’s second career CCAA Golfer of the Week honor (Feb. 7-13, 2018).
The Seawolves cap their fall slate in two weeks as the team is scheduled to compete at the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate in Waikoloa, Hawaii Oct. 28-30.
