Trad Berti’s runner-up finish paced Chico State to a team victory at the 46th annual Western Washington Classic, and earned the Wildcat a second CCAA Runner of the Week award in three weeks, now for Oct. 7-13.

The redshirt sophomore from Paso Robles ran a time of 31:40.1 over the 10K course at the Sudden Valley Golf Course Saturday in Bellingham, Wash., to cross the line in second out of 176 participants. The ‘Cats were first among 14 squads in all, easily outdistancing the host school in second, 24-97, for their third team success of 2019.
