This Week in CCAA Baseball: Time to Take to the Diamond in 2019

Jan 31, 2019

The 2019 baseball season commences with nine teams slated to take the diamond, but two series cancellations due to impending inclement weather.

Seven squads will hit the field over the weekend, and four will be on the road in their season-opener. Cal State East Bay is scheduled to open at home against area squad Menlo college on Friday with a split home & home series, while Cal State San Bernardino plays two against Dixie State and Saint Martin's and Cal State San Marcos hosts MSU Denver.

Defending tournament champions and preseason favorites #4 UC San Diego opens down the road taking on Concordia-Irvine, but the final game of their weekend is slated to be contested in La Jolla on Sunday.

With weather in the forecast for multiple locations, check the CCAA baseball schedule for game times, schedule adjustments and additional information.
