Wilson-Reid Swings Into Warriors Record Books to Nab Player of the Week
SAN RAMON, Calif. –– After etching her name amongst the top hitters for Stanislaus State, senior Alana Wilson-Reid has been selected for CCAA Player of the Week for Sept. 17-24.
The San Diego native had a monstrous weekend with back-to-back 20-kill matches as she led the Warriors to a 2-0 record and the program's best start to the season at 10-4. In two matches, she had 40 kills on 65 attempts and just six errors for a .523 attacking percentage. Prior to the week, in the team's first 12 matches, she averaged just five kills per contest.
Wilson-Reid made the Stanislaus State record book on Friday with the fifth-best single-match attacking percentage of .613 after recording 20 kills on 31 swings with just one error.
