Brantley Bynum Shoots His Way to CCAA Player of the Week

SAN RAMON, Calif. — After an effective night from the floor for San Francisco State, Brantley Bynum has been tabbed as the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 5-11.

Bynum, a senior forward from Visalia, recorded a game-high 22 points in the Gators’ wire-to-wire win over Sonoma State on Saturday night. He connected on 10 of his 12 attempts from the field, shooting 83.3 percent on the night. Bynum finished the night 2-for-3 from distance, while adding seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and no turnovers in the victory.

 
Currently sitting in fifth place in the league standings, the Gators travel to Southern California for a pair of games this week. First, San Francisco State will tussle with Cal State San Bernardino on Friday, and then the Gators take on first-place Cal Poly Pomona on Saturday. Both contests are slated to tip at 7:30 p.m.
