Jordyn Shane Tabbed as CCAA Player of the Week
SAN RAMON, Calif. – After pouring in a career high on Saturday, Cal Poly Pomona senior Jordyn Shane has been tabbed as CCAA Player of the Week for Nov. 26-Dec. 3.
Shane, a native of Victorville, led Cal Poly Pomona to an undefeated CCAA-opening weekend on the road, averaging 25 points per game on 66 percent shooting and 7.5 rebounds per game in road victories at San Francisco State and Stanislaus State.
In Saturday’s 75-64 win at Stanislaus State, Shane knocked down 13 of her 18 field goal attempts to compile a 35-point outing paired with 11 rebounds for the double-double. It was the most points scored by a Cal Poly Pomona player in a single regulation game since Mar. 25, 2014.
Next up, the Broncos cap a four-game road streak, traveling to Sonoma State on Saturday. Tip off is slated for 1 p.m.
