SAN RAMON, Calif. – Individual and team titles for Cal State San Marcos junior Jaime Jacob have earned last year’s CCAA Champion back-to-back Golfer of the Week honors to close out the fall slate.

Not only did Jacob and the Cougars claim victory at this week’s CSUSM Fall Classic, but they did so with flair. Cal State San Marcos took the team title with a program-low 7-under 569 for 36 holes, topping its nearest competitor Simon Fraser by a whopping 34 strokes.

Jacob carded 10 birdies in the two rounds of play to turn in a career-best and program-record mark of 9-under 135 to capture the individual tournament champion. Tuesday’s bogey-free round of golf featured six birdies as the Encinitas native rolled in a career-best 66 to punctuate her six-stroke victory.

Now, the Cougars break for the winter, returning to the course at the PLNU Sea Lions Invite on Feb. 4-5, 2019.
