Kobie Lockwood Nabs CCAA Golfer of the Week Award
SAN RAMON, Calif. – After a steady showing at Top 10 finish at the Otter Invitational, Stanislaus State’s Kobie Lockwood has picked up CCAA Golfer of the Week for Oct. 17-23. This marks Lockwood’s second career weekly honor.
The junior from Crescent City shot an even 216 in three rounds at Seaside’s Bayonet Golf Course, good for sixth place in the individual standings. Lockwood’s showing was particularly impressive as he battled some of the nation’s best, which included GolfStat No. 1 Barry and No. 5 Lynn, as well as No. 7 Sonoma State and No. 9 Chico State.
Lockwood helped Stanislaus State to eighth in the team standings, as the squad rolled in a tournament-best 166 pars during the three rounds of competition.
Next, the Warriors head to Waikoloa, Hawaii to tee off in the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate Oct. 29-30 to close out the fall slate.
