Alexandria Tucker Earns CCAA Runner of the Week Oct 23, 2018 SAN RAMON, Calif. – After her first top three finish of her collegiate career, Chico State sophomore Alexandria Tucker has been selected as CCAA Runner of the Week for Oct. 14-21. Despite a solid freshman season as a steady contributor for the Wildcats, the San Ramon native had never finished higher than 24th in a collegiate event entering the weekend. That changed Saturday as she raced to a third-place finish at the Triton Classic on the campus of UC San Diego, covering the six-kilometer course that winds and undulated through a eucalyptus grove in 22:21.3. Tucker crossed the line 17 seconds behind the winner and three seconds in front of Cal State San Marcos’ Lisa Flora, her nearest CCAA competitor. Along with the solid individual performance, her time helped lead Chico State to their first team title of 2018, with a team score of 39 points. The 10-time defending CCAA Champion Wildcats will attempt to make it 11 in a row on Nov. 3 in San Bernardino.
