SAN RAMON, Calif. – After another team-leading performance for Stanislaus State, Clarissa Morales has been tabbed as CCAA Runner of the Week for Sept. 24-30.

Morales, a junior from Modesto, paced the team with her third top-six finish of the season at the Capital Cross Challenge, crossing the line in 21:35.0. The run for Stanislaus State was history making, as the Warriors beat perennial power and 14-time CCAA champion Chico State in team scoring for the first time during Stanislaus State's CCAA era (since 1989).

Morales was the top NCAA Division II finisher in the competition, crossing the line behind only two unattached and three Division I runners. The Warriors were the top non-Division I program in the team standings with a  fourth-place result.

The next competitive run for Stanislaus State comes at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational on Oct. 13.
