Kelley Sullivan Earns Back-to-Back Weekly Honors
SAN RAMON, Calif. – After powering the Chico State Wildcats to a team title, senior Kelley Sullivan has earned back-to-back CCAA Golfer of the Week honors for Oct. 10-16.
Sullivan shot 8-under par 136 over the two-day, two-round event, logging 14 birdies along the way, topping the 135-player field in birdies. He and teammate Serge Kiriluk also paced the field in par 4 scoring average, playing the holes in an average of 3.60 strokes throughout the competition.
Sullivan’s score was good for second on the individual leaderboard at the Dixie State Trailblazer Fall Regional Preview at The Ledges Golf Club in St. George, Utah. His efforts helped Chico State overpower the 27-team field. The 12th-ranked Wildcats finished 25-under par and 11 shots clear of second-place Dixie State.
Conference Golfer of the Week for the fifth time, the 2017 CCAA individual medalist was tabbed by the conference once as a sophomore, twice as a junior, and has now won it twice this season.
Sullivan and the Wildcats will wrap up the fall portion of their 2018-19 slate next Monday and Tuesday at the Cal State Monterey Bay Otter Invitational at Bayonet in Seaside.
