Peek Nets CCAA Player of the Week for Streaking Broncos
SAN RAMON, Calif. –:After helping Cal Poly Pomona extend their streak to seven, sophomore Brian Peek has been tabbed as CCAA Player of the Week for Oct. 8-14.
The sophomore forward from Laguna Hills scored three goals on the week, punching in the game’s first two scoring strikes in a 4-1 win over Cal State San Marcos on Friday. He continued his offensive prowess in Sunday’s 2-0 victory over No. 16 UC San Diego finding the back of the net in the 20th minute for the eventual game-winner. He also assisted on the second goal of the night passing back to net seven points on the week.
The Broncos seek to continue their streak on the road, closing the year away from home in their final four matches. This weekend, Cal Poly Pomona travels to Cal State Monterey Bay and Cal State East Bay for a pair of afternoon soirees.
