Brantley Bynum Tabbed as CCAA Player of the Week Jan 23, 2018 SAN RAMON, Calif. — With back-to-back banner nights, San Francisco State senior Brantley Bynum has been tabbed as the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Player of the Week for Jan. 15-21. The senior from Visalia powered the Gators to two wins, leaving it all on the floor in a come-from-behind victory over Cal State East Bay on Friday. The 6-5 forward tallied a career-high 27 points along with eight rebounds and four assists before leaving the final minute after chipping his two front teeth while on defense. On Saturday, he again put up a career-best on the court, with 28 points and five rebounds in a 79-65 win over Cal State Monterey Bay. For the week, Bynum averaged 27.5 points on 67.7 percent shooting, 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. Bynum and the Gators will hit the hardwood twice this week, taking on non-conference foe Holy Names tonight, and traveling to Turlock to meet up with Stanislaus State on Saturday.
