Christian Oshita Collects CCAA Player of the Week Honors Jan 2, 2018 SAN RAMON, Calif. — UC San Diego junior Christian Oshita shot his way into the New Year with style, picking up California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) honors for the week of Dec 25-31. The guard/forward from Los Angeles averaged 19.5 points on 53.6 percent shooting and 6.0 rebounds for the Tritons in victorious efforts against San Francisco State and Stanislaus State. Oshita contributed 19 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals against the visiting Gators on Friday and then turned around for a game-high 20 points and team-high seven rebounds against the Warriors. Oshita connected on four of his seven attempts from beyond the arc in Turlock, and tallied seven three-pointers on the weekend on .500 shooting from distance. Next, UC San Diego will play back-to-back home conference games for the first time this season, hosting Humboldt State on Friday and Chico State on Saturday.
