Bekah Boyle Receives CCAA Volleyball Athlete of the Week Honor
SAN RAMON, Calif. - Chico State sophomore Bekah Boyle has been selected as the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Volleyball Athlete of the Week for the week of Aug. 31 through Sept. 3.
A Redding native, Boyle led the Wildcats to a 4-1 record last week to start the 2017 season. She collected 70 kills, averaging 3.89 kills per set and posting a .276 hitting percentage. Boyle also contributed a service ace, 14 digs and four blocks.
She particularly shined in all four matches the Wildcats played in the weekend Route 92 Classic. During the tournament, Boyle registered 16 kills against Holy Names and 14 versus Dominican on Friday, then Saturday piled up 13 kills against Biola and a career-high 23 versus Notre Dame de Namur.
The Wildcats return to action on Thursday for the start of the D2 West Region Volleyball Showcase in Alaska. The entire CCAA volleyball schedule can be viewed at
