Chico State's Aja Erskine and Humboldt State's Marissa McCay Named CCAA Women's Track and Field Athletes of the Week
SAN RAMON – Chico State's Aja Erskine and Humboldt State's Marissa McCay were named the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Women's Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for the week of Apr. 17-23.

Erskine led her team to a second place finish at the Humboldt State Border Battle last weekend after taking top honors in all four events she participated in.
The senior from Fairfield posted a personal-best time of 24.83 seconds in the 200 meter dash, which also marked the sixth-fastest time in the event in Chico State history. In the 400 meter dash recorded a provisional qualifying mark of 55.56 seconds.
In the 4x100 meter relay she teamed up with Marina Berrios Michelle Holt and Hailey Jackson to snag first place with a time of 47.51. She then combined with Jackson, Clair Chappell and Bianca Nicastro to win the 4x400 meter relays with a time of 4:00.56.

CCAA Women's Field Athlete of the Week
McCay, a senior from McKinleyville, won the high jump at the Lumberjacks-hosted Border Battle last weekend.
She notched an Automatic Qualifying mark and set a new program record with her leap of 5 feet, 10 inches. That mark also ranks first among all Division II jumpers this season.
