Triton's Paul Down and Broncos' Ryan Peacock Tabbed CCAA Men's Track and Field Athletes of the Week

SAN RAMON – UC San Diego's Paul Doan and Cal Poly Pomona's Ryan Peacock were named the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Men's Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for the week of Apr. 3-9.

Doan had the fastest Collegian time and finished second overall in the 100 meter dash, while also placing third in the 200 meters and helping the Tritons to a first place finish in the 4x100-meter relay at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational.

The junior from San Diego, broke his own school record in the 100-dash, clocking an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 10.53, which currently ranks as the fastest time this season among all CCAA sprinters.

Doan recorded a time of 21.53 in the 200-dash and was one of four Tritons to clock a time of 41.20 finish in the 4x100 relay.

CCAA Men's Field Athlete of the Week

Peacock, a rookie from Oceanside, placed sixth in the shot put at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational this past weekend.

He recorded his best mark this season with a throw of 14.57 meters, which converted to 47 feet, 9.25 inches.
