Humboldt State's Alyssabeth Dejerez and Chico State's Brooke Whitburn Selected CCAA Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week
SAN RAMON – Humboldt State senior Alyssabeth Dejerez and Chico State senior Brooke Whitburn were named the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Women's Track Athlete and Field Athlete of the Week, respectively, for the week of Feb. 27-Mar. 5.

Dejerez finished first in both the 200 meters and 400 meters at the Kim Duyst Invitational in Turlock last Saturday.
The Bonita native hit a provisional qualifying mark with her time of 54.96 in the 400 meters. Her time of 24.80 in the 200 meters was a personal-best placed her second, all-time in the Lumberjack record books.

CCAA Women's Field Athlete of the Week
Whitburn socred an NCAA Automatic Qualifying mark en route to winning the heptathlon at the Chico Multi Classic this past weekend.
The Chico product racked up 5,244 pionts as a result of four victories and three third-place finishes in the seven heptathlon events.
Whitburn's winning distance in the long jump (19-6.75) was also a provisional qualifying mark, while also establishing personal bests in the 100-meter hurdles (14.61), shot put (38-8.75), and the high jump (5-5.25)
