Cal Poly Pomona's Daniel Pitts and Cal State Monterey Bay's Kyle Narahara Named CCAA Pitcher and Player of the Week
SAN RAMON – Cal Poly Pomona senior Daniel Pitts and Cal State Monterey Bay senior Kyle Narahara were named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Baeball Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for the week of Mar. 13-19.
CCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Narahara, a right-handed reliever from Castro Valley, snagged two saves this past weekend as the Otters snagged a three-game series sweep over Cal State LA.
Narahara struck out four of eight batters faced and did not allow a hit in 2.1 innings pitched.

CCAA Baseball Player of the Week
Facing some of the nation's top pitching, Pitts was an offensive force for the Broncos in thier three-game series at Chico State.
The Lancaster product hit .455 (5-for-11) and recorded a 1.364 slugging percentage with four runs, a double, three home runs, and seven RBI.
In Sunday's 8-7 series finale win Pitts hit two-for-four with two home runs, including an eighth-inning grand slam that lifted CPP for its final lead of the game.
